Why visit Drung Waterfall?
Drung Waterfall, often searched as Drang Waterfall, is a compact but high-interest stop near Tangmarg on the way to Gulmarg. In winter it becomes famous for frozen icicles and snow photography; outside winter it works as a short waterfall and stream stop on a Gulmarg transfer day.
This is not a full-day destination by itself. It is best used as a 30-60 minute side stop while moving between Srinagar, Tangmarg and Gulmarg. The approach can become slippery in winter, so proper shoes and realistic expectations matter.

From Srinagar: Plan roughly 42-45 km and around 2 hours depending on traffic, snow and road condition. Most travellers visit it en route to Gulmarg.
From Gulmarg: It is a short return drive via Tangmarg, but winter road movement can take longer than map estimates.
